Pair of vintage Chinese reverse-painted glass snuff bottles featuring playful pandas among bamboo and pine trees. Each bottle is hand-painted from the inside. The artist works in reverse through the narrow neck to create detailed, layered scenes. This art form is known as “Nei Hua” (内画) or inside painting, and originated in the Qing dynasty (1644–1912).
Both bottles measure approximately 3" tall and are made of clear glass with soft earth tones and fine brushwork. Likely crafted in China between the 1970s–1990s as export art or decorative collector pieces.
Excellent vintage condition with bright color and no cracks or chips. A charming example of Chinese folk artistry and a lovely addition to any snuff bottle, panda, or Asian art collection.
Hand-painted artistry — two miniature worlds inside glass.
